Board + FSE info session

Thursday 21 November, 12:30–13:30
Target group: All Japies

Even though, we have the feeling the year just begun, we are slowly starting to look for enthusiastic students that would like to do a Japie board year in the academic year 2025-2026. This year we are doing it a bit differently as we are inviting everyone from every cohort to come take a look at how a board year looks like. Even if you might want to do it a year later, it might be nice to already obtain some information about it. Besides, we have noticed that it is a great addition to have different cohorts in the board, as it creates diversity! Furthermore, with this we give a bit more space to plan your study as you would like yourself. Moreover, Sabine will provide a nice self-made apple pie :)

Visiting this presentation comes with no commitment, it is simply a way to learn about what doing a board year looks like. The possibilities for international students will also be explicitly covered, such as the size of your board grant for students with higher tuition.

Besides this information session, the board also invites you to visit a board-for-a-day moment. During one of these orientation moments, you can join one of the board members in doing their daily tasks to see what being a board is like. Ask the board member that you would like to plan an orientation moment with, and they will plan it with you!

Secondly, there will also be a presentation given by FSE, the overarching association of the study associations about what its like to do a board year at FSE.
